About the Program

The program generally runs in 4 or 5 class blocks a few times a year:
We also have Summer camps.

Arty-Pants is an exciting place for young people to hang out on Fridays in an environment designed to open up minds, and help creativity pour out all over some paper! We will be do various projects, with a focus on learning different skills, and helping to take a look at the world around us in a more interesting and strange way. Our project choices are unlimited, and we do lots of different things all the time using different mediums and styles.

All materials are included, and each block of classes will be something new. So if you like what we are doing, we encourage you to please come back for more!

It is an art club, with an emphasis on doing fun projects in a positive and helpful environment, where we can open up people's minds to the amazing world around us, and to expressing feelings and dreams within us. That will always be our main goal. It is about an appreciation for art, and an attitude towards our world. And fun.. tons of fun.. because we are super duper fun.

About Me
Arty-Pants is run by Blaise Kolodychuk who is sometimes assisted by Elaine Boyling.

Blaise is a full time learning support, technology, drama and arts instructor at a Montessori school in Calgary.
He has gone to the Alberta college of Art and design, and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology achieving honours in producing and directing films. He is a registered child care assistant and Blaise also has accredited certification in Art Therapy.

With a life dedicated to art and his children, it is little wonder he eventually ended up working in an elementary school. Blaise continues to paint, be in several bands, and is an award nominated director, making low budget films.
